Lorna Inman is a London-based award-winning Virtual Reality Artist and an Immersive Design Specialist. Since 2019, she has been creating immersive experiences, specialising in storytelling through 3D environment design. Her illustrative environments reflect her former studies in BA Art and Design (International) at the University of Leeds and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan.

Lorna has created immersive, hand-painted VR artworks for various companies including Google, Virtual Reality Experiences London, Barclays Private Bank and more. Working as Lead Artist on "Girmit", an illustrative short film produced by Nutkhut, Lorna and the team were proud winners of the 2021 Lovie Bronze and People’s Lovie Award for the best VR and 360 degree experience. Girmit has been shown in several film festivals worldwide and has been used as part of an educational toolkit for UK primary schools. Bringing the performative value of creating artwork in virtual reality to large crowds, Lorna has painted live on stage at events such as the Barclays Private Bank Gala Dinner in 2022 in Monaco, and the Google Automation Summit 2019 in London.

With an aim to teach her skills in immersive design and inspire others, Lorna regularly presents educational guest lectures at universities and hosts workshops across the country, as well as taking part in panel discussions to introduce others to the industry. Places she has delivered talks and demonstrations at include; The University of Leeds, London College of Communication and The Realities Centre London, and she has lead workshops in using VR design tools for the InvestIN Summer Experience and Liberty Festival UK. Alongside teaching, she has appeared on podcasts and panel discussions, such as; “The Illustration Conversation”, a podcast by the London College of Communication, and “The Metaverse: The Professional Guide”, a panel discussion facilitated by Tom Ffiske.

Touring her artworks at events worldwide, Lorna’s artist residencies have brought her collaborative artworks to virtual exhibitions and in-person events across the globe, exploring themes of digital identity. These events include: Italian Fashion Week 2021, Kammerflimmern exhibition Nuremberg, Crypto Art Fashion Week 2021, Frankfurt Fashion week 2021 and to a personalised gallery space built in the online metaverse, Somnium Space VR.
