Diageo are a global leader in premium drinks, with a portfolio of 200 brands including Jonnie Walker, Tanqueray, Guinness and Smirnoff. Over 400 attendees to the company-wide event at the Mansfield Traquair in Edinburgh on the 7th November 2023

Sharing the stage with esteemed speakers such as Dame Kelly Holmes, Lorna was honoured to bring the Singleton Whiskey brand to life in virtual dimensions, with a fast-paced art performance by painting around herself in 3D space. Accompanied by a silent disco, that the crowd couldn’t help themselves but to get up and dance!

Hand-painted live on stage in just 5 minutes using Tilt Brush, a virtual reality application that allows you to paint in 3D space.

In virtual reality, vast 3D environments can come alive in minutes. Lorna painted in virtual space with dynamic movement to represent the Singleton brand through colour, motifs and using the company logo, encapsulated in an exciting and up-beat performance that lasted only 5 minutes!

How does the audience watch?

Whilst Lorna paints with the VR headset on, what see can see in the virtual world is projected onto screens, everything happening in real time. The audience can see Lorna’s entire process as a performance, from choosing different colours and textures in her palette, to her waving arms and corresponding brush strokes being created in virtual space. It is an artistic dance with an enigmatic finish – zooming out her perspective to reveal the final piece!
